<description>My dad memorized in it's entirety 'The Song of Roland'. Problem was it takes about 4 hours to voice the whole thing. So, I had him pick a scene and narrow it down to about 3 minutes. Enjoy.

One of my favorite new restaurants, Veggie Grill, recently had a 5th anniversary contest. I decided to enter by making them a commercial spot.
I literally wrote the spot in 20 minutes, found a park table for a location, got one actor, John Ennis, and one DP, Danozone, and shot it in a couple hours.
Then I shot the burger and sides (rotating) on my green screen and edited the next day.
Alex Radovanovitch and Tim O'Sullivan busted out an awesome original score.
I would obviously never do a real burger commercial but Veggie Grill is 100% vegan and it was a lot of fun making it. Oh and it payed off. I was one of the lucky winners!
Enjoy.

<description>friends·section /frends sek-shuh'n/ (pl-s) noun 1. A distinct part or subdivision of a skateboarding video featuring riders friendly with the corresponding team or company.
2.Friends of mine who make rad stuff featured on my website.

Many years ago I flew to NYC to do an interview with David Cross. The photographer on assignment was the one and only Angela Boatwright. Cut to now and she's still killing it. Even carved out a new title - Director. And now for a truly haunting short film called Witch.

Check out this awesome short film about motorcycle engineer Shinya Kimura directed by the one and only Henrik Hansen. I've known Henrik for years now and we've collaborated many times. You may know we did the Blackberry commercials together but what you may not know is years ago he featured me in a veggie oil car spot for the Sundance Channel. If you wanna check that out go to RSA Films and type in his name!
Enjoy!

I wasn't the only winner of the 5th Anniversary Veggie Grill contest. Another winner was none other than Dan O'Sullivan aka Danozone! A little known fact about this 30 second commercial spot called 'Guilt Free' - Take a wild guess at who plays the glorious role of the cow's ass.... You guessed it. My back was sore for days!

Check out this awesome Grieves music video by Dugan O'Neal. He decided take a break from SFX heavies like his TV On The Radio - Will Do video and go with a more au natural style. I'm diggin' it! He got great shots all around my hood - Echo Park. Check it out!

GRIEVES "ON THE ROCKS" from Dugan O'Neal on Vimeo.

Here's the first Friends Section Video!
It's from the hairy bastards known as Day by Day. www.livedaybyday.com
This is a new video they made called "Pumpkin and Bubby yell at Bitches.
Enjoy!

<description>Welcome to the vaults of my past.
I recently unearthed a short "silent" film I created in 2004 called Hark Darken. The story involves vampires, demons, magic, sex, spiders, and a man on a quest for death. I shot it all with a VX-1000 on a low shutter. It felt like I was painting every shot. Filmmaker/musician Brian Butler plays the lead and composed the score. Some notable cameos include my production coordinator, Mia Kirby, playing the Spider Beast, Jen Lindberg (Warpaint) playing a cave dwelling vampire, and Shannyn Sossaman playing demon spell's dagger yielding manifestation. I broke it up into four parts. Enjoy!

Hark Darken - King of the Black Forest: Part 4

Hope you enjoyed Hark Darken. Now check out something that I didn't direct but I am in. Believe it or not in 1986 I was a famous male model. This video is the proof. Look out for Super Kaigaozer V.

Okay so maybe I wasn't a famous male model but I did have some pretty good moves. It's funny because I didn't (and still don't) have any recollection of actually doing this fashion show which makes it somewhat surreal for me to watch. Some old friends from Maine, Mr. Mead in particular, found this VHS tape in his attack and recognized me on the catwalk. By the way this took place on a Navy base in Cutler Maine. He sent me the hours and hours of raw footage and I thought it was so hilarious that I had to cut it into something watchable. Hope you enjoyed getting educated on the real deal trend setting fashion of Maine in the mid 80's!</description>

My brother, Eric Amadeus Von Preising, was living with me in LA for a little bit. He decided to make a violin from scratch. Everyday I would come home and he'd be crafting and carving away on this thing until eventually he actually did it. It sounded really cool and no one could believe how awesome it turned out. He left back to Oregon but I decided the next time he came back I would document him making another one. He eventually returned and as we talked about it the idea expanded into this very ambitious instrument making video project. Enjoy!

This video is especially important to me because it was obviously a passion project. My brother and I spent our hard earned money to make it happen. Plus, it was a cool way to bring together both of our skills.

A music video that explores the concept of lost love, alien intervention, death, transcendence, and reuniting in the afterlife. When I heard The Other Shore images immediately began forming in my head and it wasn't long before a story began to take shape. A video must be made! It took 8 shoots on one 60D with only one 24mm lens. 100% DIY. No budget - No Problem. The way I went about it was... no matter what filmmaking. No excuses about why something can't be done. Only figuring it out and making it happen. Charles DeCastro (Crater Farmer) was down for the cause and even got down and dirty in the art department! I hope you enjoy the song and the video. Thanks for listening and watching.

<description>Chris Lambert is Slam! I wrote and directed 9 action packed episodes of this show. We traveled across country and met up with skateboarders, snowboarders, bikers, wakeboarders, and surfers. It was some crazy times. Here's some samples of the show. First the title sequence. One of the cameras we used for this was a Phantom.

Next, a segment from the show. This is with professional skateboarder Kristian Svitak recounting his guts to glory battle with a Hollywood ledge.

COMING SOON

Here's a segment with professional snowboarder Matt Hammer. This segment was really cool because Matt overcame his fear and actually attempted the gap again for our cameras.

This next segment is with big wave surfer Derek Dunfee. I gained a lot of respect for these guys while hearing his story. On a side note, we were on a crazy deadline but I really wanted to get some dramatic underwater reenactment footage. I drove out to the beach in Venice and it was totally flat. Seriously it couldn't have been more flat. I had Jesse Hotchkiss go out into the freezing flat ocean with a GoPro and splash around. He would come back on the sand and I would download the footage onto a laptop to check the shots. Oops that one wasn't recording. I seriously made him go back in so many times until I got something that I thought was usable.

<description>RSA hired Henrik Hansen and I to direct a Blackberry Torch campaign in Europe. This job was so hectic and crazy! It was cool though because I learned a lot from the experience and of course we made 3 good spots. Here is the official 60 second directors cut featuring Diplo.

And check out this 30 second spot we shot in France with Nadege.

We created both French and English versions of this spot.
On a side note it happened to be my birthday while we were in France and the crew surprised me with a vegan pear cake and song me happy birthday in French. It was awkward for me of course but at the same time very sweet. Oh and Henrik got me a sick pair of Ray Ban sunglasses that I'm wearing right now!

<description>Built to Shred is a show that I created with Jeff King for Fuel TV which ended up becoming the networks number one show. The part that I really liked was getting to direct the promo spots. The theme for this campaign was "loony bin'. It was great to work with Jay Johnston again. He did an amazing job playing the head doctor. These were all shot on the Red with DP Brad Stonesifer. In this spot, it was my brother Eric who actually drew all the art on the walls.

Christina Waltz did an awesome job on the makeup for these spots. She also created the cool smoke effect in this next one.

Notice the Danozone cameo in this next spot. I actually had him stand on an apple box to make him appear even taller than he already is!

Special thanks goes to our art department extraordinaire Sandy Hubshman. She also created the awesome cakes (vegan of course) that were used for this next spot.
